Sims 2 Apartment Pets for Nintendo DS

I have to admit that I’m a tad bit baffled by Apartment Pets for Nintendo DS.

Maxis has announced the game and posted screenshots on their website but the U.S. version of Amazon.com doesn’t seem to think that the game exists. That being said, Amazon.co.uk has the game set for release on Sept. 5th of this year.

So, I’m left wondering if the game is only going to be released in the U.K. which seems like an unlikely scenario. [If you’re interested, you can buy the game for about $50.00 US from the link at the beginning of this article.]

Maxis promises rabbits and snakes and all things cute and cuddly in this version along with the abilities to:

• Run your very own pet spa to groom and dress pets.
• Share your apartment with dogs, cats, snakes, rabbits, and more.
• Meet interesting neighbors and take care of their pets.
• Play fun mini-games to unlock toys, clothing, furniture, and accessories.

Maybe the game will appeal to the hardcore Sims 2 DS gamer [if such a person exists] but I just don’t see myself buying this game just so that I can “share [my] apartment with dogs, cats, snakes, rabbits, and more”.
