Simsgamer Architectural Challenge Week 1: Water Front Property
Sims Leora bought this lot from a guy who told her it was water front property. Without thinking she bought it from him. When she finally saw the lot she realized why it was so cheap.
It’s covered in flood damage! Can you help Sim Leora make the most out of her investment?
Here’s your challenge:
Without changing the terrain at all (You can’t raise, lower, flatten ground or get rid of any water) build sims Leora a house. Here’s what you need to have in the house:
- 1 bedroom big enough for sims Leora and her husband
- 1 bathroom with a shower/tub, sink, toilet
- a half bathroom (powder room )with just a toilet and sink
- an office for her to sim blog from
- a kitchen with place to sit and eat for at least 5 people
- a family room with TV, games, bookshelf, etc.
No cheats are allowed and any objects that don’t come with the sims and the expansion packs will need to be included in the packaged house sent in to me.
Entries must be packaged and emailed to me at leora at b5media dot com no later than Thursday October 11th at 5:00 pm my time (USA Central time). Make sure to rename your lot file using your name or nickname. The format should be something like "yourname-arch-week-1".

Is there any chance for a version of the lot compatible with Base Game-Uni-Nightlife? I’d love to participate, but I’m afraid I’m out of luck as it stands now.

Hey, which expansion/stuff packs do we need for this lot? I’d like to attempt it, but I do not have Bon Voyage, Celebration, H&M, or Teen Style Stuff…

I decided to have a second download for this week that works for any version n the game. I just used the original Sims 2 to make a similar lot. Either is allowed:

You say ‘no cheats’. Does this include all the building cheats, like ‘moveobjects on’ ‘boolprop snapbojectstogrid false’ ‘boolprop allow45degreeangleofrotation true’?

One more question. I just noticed the lot you uploaded for those without all expansions. If we have all expansions, can we use either? The idea I had would work better on the larger lot, but I understand if you’d prefer us with all the expansions to use the original.

Yeah you’re free to use either lot. I think for future weeks I’ll just use my older computer to make the bases for you guys so everyone gets the same starting lot. Sorry that I screwed up this time. I should have thought of it sooner. :(
